Grimm's Fairy Tales by Sasa Voulgari
I hadn't worked a lot with costume designs before, but when a story teller asks for a costume you can't possibly say no!
That is how I collaborated with the well known story teller, Sasa Voulgari and created a costume for a number of her performances, called "The Grimm's Fairy Tales & their Greek Little Brothers". Seeking inspiration in fairy tales was very interesting and fun in the same time. Nostalgia, poetic atmosphere, fluency and a bit of magic was all I needed to get to work! The costume consists of a dress and a cardigan with playful ruffles, which can be used to tide it up in different ways. Moreover the cardigan is double faced, so that it can be worn in both ways. I used jersey fabrics, because it was more comfortable for the story telling, since it requires mobility. |
